The coated high refractive titanium dioxide will make production of spectacles and contact lenses faster and easier.

The coated, high-refractive and UV-blocking titanium dioxide was specifically developed to be produced economically for use on an industrial scale.

The coated TiO2 nano particles can be used in many applications

Current applications

The industry has been searching for high refractive plastic materials for over several decades. Until now they only succeeded in making epoxies and spectacle glass materials up to n = 1.7, with several undesired mechanical and chemical properties.
Thin transparent anatase films have an application in self-cleaning window-glass.

Sparkxis has the capabilities to increase the refractive index of plastic materials to at least n = 1.8 in a cost-effective and scalable manner.

‘Added value of Sparkxis’ technology

Sparkxis'. production technology enables the economical and industrial scale production of high refractive titanium dioxide, based on a chemical process using bulk materials. The coated titanium dioxide particles can subsequently be dissolved transparently in various materials to provide these materials with specific UV-blocking and high-refractive optical properties.
